Told

I end wrongs by scripting the neuroses of the past; A partisan actor who plays my role to the last; The plot is to name the cause and to lay the blame; For the source of the cause is always the same; Rewriting my lines as I see fit; Choosing which history is villainous and cancelling it.

The One Thing

Sentience is the notion that humans are born to live with themselves; And this capacity begins soon after the severing of the cord; In accordance with the one perfect truth natural creation brings; The uncertain timing of eternal death; With death being the cause for individuals to hold dear its meaning.

For Now

For nature is the human god, not to be worshipped or searched for, an affinity felt; As with clouds; when it rains, and from the seas and soils, a natural energy arisen; The sun is in attendance, and the moon nearby, their communicating with senses a’bright; Of those receptive minds inclined to shut off invented gods and the like; Here on Earth’s hurried habitable, whether things matter, or matter not.

The Fluffy Game

In the Australian parliament politicians clink-clank like fighting birds in a suburban chicken coop; Bin-liner salespeople hurling clip-board text jibes accompanied with spitted legalese; The trading of insults made amorous with a pinch of sleaze; Their behaviour a gross mimicry of orgiastic raves; Not like Surfies and Sharpies who warred simply because they didn’t like each other.

On the Power Station

Though the traffic cannot be driving-wise, nor free-flow a blessing on the highways, the actions of courtesy that are few, and in lanes which yield no space, crushed patience cut short by the congestion, and there be no room for a misjudgement; yet I can rejoice in Autobahn, I will take joy in its electric-beat rhythms, And travel in the flow of its parts symphonic, And feel that I am winged and happy, Flying in high and empty places.

The Meat Mission

Flesh is Meat anointed, since the Butcher does its anointing; And from the incarnation of the Meat there will be derived fullness; The Meat packaged and presented to consumers at the Supermarket; For by its selection the Meat’s glory is celebrated at the checkout; Processed Animal tales told at the dinner table when the Mouth unites with the Meat.

Cathological

And when faith finds reason, absurdity is safely rendered unbelievable; In that the Church does not condemn its priests abusing children because such acts are absurd; Though when such acts are not absurd claims against the Church are unreasonable; For legal claims are anathema to the reason for the Church's existence; In God’s name whose name is perfect love.
