Bluey the Aussie Prophet

One midday summer Bluey Jones came down from Mount Warning. And under each sweaty armpit was a stone tablet upon which were written very important things. And coming down from the mountain Bluey was unaware that his face shone radiant red.

Bluey had been in deep conversation on top of Mount Warning. This was before Mothy and his mate from nearby Tweed Heads could find him. And behold, when they saw him, his face shone bright red and they were afraid to come near him.

Bluey called out to them ‘Hey mates!’. And Mothy and his mate Aaron came running and Bluey talked with them. And afterwards the people of nearby Tweed Heads came forward. And Bluey told what he’d heard on top of Mount Warning. And he warned the people what he heard was very important.

He showed them the tablets and what was commanded. And the people of Tweed Heads saw Bluey’s glowing red face and they were afraid. And after Bluey had finished speaking, he returned to the top of Mount Warning to look for his lost hat.

Sometimes They are Mistaken for Dogs

The anxious bark at suburbs given to alienation,   Bark at the morally weak who suck in virtue,   And barkers bark at unknown cads Who steal flowers from shattered graves. Lonely bureaucrats bark at keyboards they strike,      The switch of the ultra-powerless,   Their plaintive words seasoned with spite. How they bark at paperwork deadline manipulated.   For who is it that understands frustration? Check-outs bark at wealth jumping millionaires,   Whose free space is wilder than wisdom. Bark, bark at the barkers barking back.   Barking at bloody crosses to which believers cling. Barking, disturbed ones, until fate guts their sting.     Bark, the angry ones, spitting words at shadows. Barkers bark, lest defeat intervenes and cripples.
