Norbert’s Calling

In his mind one night a voice began telling him he is the one.

It told how his thoughts are the genesis of his troubled dreams.

And alone and fearful of his destiny,

And seeking conviction and direction,

He will feel as though he is delusional,

For he will leave reasoning and enter faith.

Growing this feeling, and growing courage,

For when others hear of his task, for he is to preach,

His voice being the voice, and it will be powerful,

His words revealed by him in his voice’s Note-Book,

To help him found a religion,

And lift the world out of its misery,

Alongside the names who are famous for it.

And because his name is Norbert,

He is the first Norbert to answer his calling.
