Immaculately

De Sade’s sins were exclusively the Virgin Mary’s to forgive;

For it was she who came to him in his REM sleep;

Inquiring after his debaucheries;

Her grace easing his septic imagination, bringing forth her light to quell his darkness;

His sexual pathology becoming like that of poetry.
