To Garden
It was a religion’s fantasy that Eden became the fantastic explanation for death,
The fable of how the frivolous Eve had been tempted to eat the forbidden fruit,
It’s sweetness bringing unto her offspring nothing but pain and woe, their Earth
A creation beautiful, where hope is least in the actions of its evolving Nature,
Nor is Earth frivolous, but faithful to its existence an imagined God can never be.
