Drained

For humans the animal instinct cognates with the free will;

Its nature sometimes overwhelming all that is given morally;

The act freed from guilt to prevent personal onus from intervening;

And in the killing the mind is blank as death would have it;

The moral conscience dissolved by the caustic impulse.
