Apologies for caused inconveniences;

The planet’s warriors have saved it from its variable self;

Cheer-leading while juggling sharp stones in masks;

Bladed windmills are for the blinded to stare at;

Mocking the criminally sceptical.

 

For inconveniences apologies caused;

Green flags flutter atop piles of disused carbon emitters;

The triumph of carbon capture for a green-wasted Earth;

The poor pray to their doubting ancestors;

Who had fallen without knowing.

 

Apologies for inconveniences caused;

Virtuous bureaucracies send carbon paper unsigned;

To be read in the stricken sun after the blackouts;

Every earth space plays its part as a dump;

Disgraced technology without a trace.

 

Caused apologies for inconveniences;

The climate is ever changing but it is different now;

Plastic food farmlands protect the grizzled landscape;

Carbon storage units over stretch as fencing;

Necessary for navigating global graveyards.

Sometimes They are Mistaken for Dogs

The anxious bark at suburbs given to alienation,   Bark at the morally weak who suck in virtue,   And barkers bark at unknown cads Who steal flowers from shattered graves. Lonely bureaucrats bark at keyboards they strike,      The switch of the ultra-powerless,   Their plaintive words seasoned with spite. How they bark at paperwork deadline manipulated.   For who is it that understands frustration? Check-outs bark at wealth jumping millionaires,   Whose free space is wilder than wisdom. Bark, bark at the barkers barking back.   Barking at bloody crosses to which believers cling. Barking, disturbed ones, until fate guts their sting.     Bark, the angry ones, spitting words at shadows. Barkers bark, lest defeat intervenes and cripples.
