The Sponsorship of Soap

Social media actors thrive on the allure of the melodrama,

in that alone they will fire up and channel the fire starter,

in their struggle against resistance vouching for the personal,

Driven by melodramatic acting to be visually sensational.

 

The actors do not regard lightly the discipline of their story,

nor become weary with resentment when reproved by trolls,

for their story disciplines those for whom the scene rises for,

Who must strive to loyally enter and leave by a similar door.

 

It is for the practice of influencing that they are well paid for,

treating scripts as sons and daughters of persuaders previous,

though in moments self-doubt is a pain rather than a teacher,

But later yielding the operatic fruit that inspires the feature.

 

They seek to lift drooping eyes and strengthen concentration,

and make flat paths out of cobblestone lanes for weary feet,

so that what is lame is to not become pointless instead healed,

That no roots of resistance spring forth to become a field.
