Australian Fare

Wonderful is the Australian orthodoxy;

Wonderful is its civility;

Its national celebrants peacefully playing;

At peace in the sunshine land;

Certain is the mantra of a fair go;

Certain is the bond of a friend;

At ease are they, its happy citizens;

Easy as they parlay with pride;

They’re in for a worthwhile time;

Blessed are the riches of broad acres;

Blessed be the weather;

Blessed is the ore filled ground;

Why does a horse race stop this nation?

Why doesn't matter much down here;

Glory to this continent girt by broad seas;

Glory in isolation, glory be;

Citizens say they live in a lucky country;

Lucky for anyone who tries;

Pride in the achievements of sporting heroes;

Pride in its welcoming spaces;

Lucky to be the Australian.
